The main age section of Scouting is Scouts and Venture Scouts. Scouts are 12 to 15 year-old boys and girls, and they are junior-high school students. When they go to senior-high school, they become Venture Scouts, who are 16 to 18 years old.

Scout Promise

  To obey the Scout Law always.

Scout & Venture Programs
Scout & Venture programs are base upon Scout Handbook. The programs include basic skills - knots, measuring, first aid, signals, etc - for outdoor activities such as camping. Not only do they learn skills, but also they practice them through experience. As well, they develop leadership, and do community service throughout the whole Scout activities.

Most of programs can be applicable to both Scouts and Ventures. However, there are Venture Scout program called 'Venturing High Adventure - Award & Leadership'. It is customized for Venture Scout Section.
Scout & Ventures Advancement
Scouts & Ventures Advancement has two courses: one is Rank Progress, and the other is Merit Badge. When Scouts and Ventures want to achieve higher rank, they have to complete the requirements.

¡¤ Rank Progress
There are six ranks from Tenderfoot to Tiger, which is the highest rank in Korean Scouting.
For rank progression, Scouts and Ventures need to take time, to master certain skills, and to earn required merit badges. After completing all requirements and passing tests, Scouts and Ventures can advance to next rank.



¡¤ Merit Badge
Merit Badge Course is other stairway to advance to next rank. There are 100 merit badges in total in Korean Scouting. 15 badges are necessary for advancement, and the other 85 badges are for Scouts' choice. As Completing the certain activities, Scouts and Venture can get relevant badges.
